Laser

Your horses back is guaranteed to change over time.  An adjustable treed saddle accommodates these changes and allows you to change your horse without changing your saddle.  A smart investment don't you think?

Unless ordered with a fixed tree, Laser's saddles are supplied with the all new exclusive "Varilock" adjustable gullet system.  This system is completely user friendly and allows the rider to adjust the saddle to fit almost any type of horse, having the astonishing range from 25 cm - 35 cm.  The "Varilock " system is very durable and carries the same 10 year warranty against breakage as the saddle tree.

RENDEZVOUS

The all new Rendezvous is Laser’s flapship model and boats a mono-flap design for the ulitmate in a close contact feel.

The seat is made from a soft, durable  “Oregon” hide and the skirts and the padded leg flaps are made from a “Mellow English Saddle Butt”, a soft durable vegetable tanned hide.

The generous knee-rolls extend high up on the rider’s thigh to provide maximum support and the panels are wool flocked to maximise the weight bearing area on the horse’s back

TRIDENT

The Trident is so named, because it combines the most popular characteristics of three of Laser's best selling models, The 100D, The Contour Master and the Original Trident.

The Trident is not as quite as deep as the other models and is built on a tree which has a half inch wider seat.  This gives the rider a great feeling of comfort and security and allows for extra generous panels.

The Detachable knee rolls come in two sizes and can be positioned to accommodate the rider’s leg.  The wide panels are wool flocked and allow optimal weight distribution for a free, more relaxed back.

CENTURY

The Century is a new and improved version of the original, best selling 100D, which has stood the test of time and continues to be in demand, thus proving it’s value and appeal.  It is built in the traditional style with standard flaps, sweat flaps, knee-rolls and pads.

The century has a deep seat and narrow twist, affording maximum comfort and support for the rider.  Like the other saddles in the Laser collection, it has a wide gullet and the panels are wool flocked which allows them to be fined tuned for the

perfect balance and fit.

THE 747

The 747 has a deep seat and standard skirts, leg flaps, sweat flaps and pads.

The unique panels are extremely wide and are flocked with Pro-Lite Gel.  They are actually slightly deeper at the centre than at the edges, unlike wool flocked panels, which makes them a truer fit for the modern sport horses’s back.

This picture illustrates the extra wide panels of the 747, which we have kept in our collection, since it is specifically designed to accommodate the extra wide, flat backs of the Warmblood, Arabian.

LASER DRESSAGE STIRRUP LEATHER

Our dressage stirrup leathers are made from two layers of leather with a nylon layer in between to protect against stretching.  They are designed to be öne size fits all”(note the way the keepers are placed in the picture to accommodation the different lengths) and range in length from eighteen inches to twenty nine inches.

The Laser Dressage Stirrup Leather is available in either Black or Brown

LASER DRESSAGE GIRTH

Laser dressage girths are hourglass shape to fit the horse’ anatomy and are padded with half inch latex foam for extra comfort.

The padding runs the full length of the girth including behind the buckles, so that there can be no chafing under the horse’s elbows, chest or sides.

Three layers of elastic are added at BOTH ends, to allow the horse to expand his chest fully when he takes deep breath, while at the same time being firm enough to prevent the saddle from moving excessively.

The Laser Dressage Girth is available in either Black or Brown

LASER TRAINING REINS

Our unique Training Reins are the brainchild of our designer, Jeremy Beale. The idea came to him many years ago as a method of helping the amateur rider overcome the resistance of a horse that is built upside down with a hollow back and a “ewe” neck. In fact he used baling twine to create the same effect (which he called “mother’s helpers”), long before we decided to make the real thing!

These reins are a cross between side reins and a german martingale. The fact that they are designed to be attached to the girth or billets at the bottom of the flaps of the saddle, allows the rider to take full advantage of the sliding effect of the rein, without the risk of shortening the horse’s neck, as so often happens with regular draw reins. This enables the horse to stretch over his top line and learn to look for the bit, thus developing correct musculature and creating the habit of working over his back.

The reins have a wide range of adjustment and can also be completely detached at the snap on each end, without dismounting, when the horse is going comfortably, thus allowing him to be “weaned gradually from them.

They should be adjusted so that there is approximately a four inch loop in the rider’s rein, when the horse has his head too high with his nose stuck out and there is a light contact with the snaffle rein. This creates a running rein effect, which will be alleviated as soon as he accepts the correct contact and yields to the pressure from the bit. At this moment the training reins will go slack and the rider will feel a direct, soft contact through the rein with the horse’s mouth.

Thus the rider has complete control over the action of this training aid, without the complication and bulk of using a separate draw rein and it is totally un-restricted.
